The Xenexians are a humanoid non-player race native to the independent planet Xenex, located in vicinity to the Romulan Star Empire. Xenexians are similar to Humans but have purple eyes. Some of them choose Human names when entering Starfleet Academy, which are easier to pronounce for aliens. (Star Trek: New Frontier)

The Xenexians were occupied by the Danteri for centuries until the freedom fighter Mackenzie Calhoun secured independence for his people. Calhoun joined Starfleet and became captain of two starships, the Excalibur and the Excalibur-A. The latest iteration, U.S.S. Excalibur, is the lead ship of the Excalibur class.
In 2409, Xenexian Captain John Hollingsworth is in command of the U.S.S. de Witt, a Federation Battleship. Calhoun now serves as a battlemaster at Deep Space K-7.
Missions involved[ | ]
- “Neutral Zone Diplomacy”: Commander Naomi Wildman of K7 requests the player to speak with the station's battlemasters Calhoun and Mazka.
- “Second Star to the Right, Straight on 'til Morning”: The Klingon Empire battles Starfleet forces in the Alhena System. The KDF manages to board the DeWitt and capture Captain Hollingsworth, who is interrogated in his ready room. The DeWitt is then used for target practice and lost with all hands.
