The 1 Hour Skill Bonus is a consumable skill boost item that provides a single character with a 20 percent increase in the amount of skill points and bridge officer skill points gained during play for a period of one hour. Once acquired the item will remain unconsumed until activated, at which point the timer begins. If the character logs off while the skill boost item is active, the timer will pause.
Only one skill bonus can be active at a time, to activate another bonus, you must wait for the currently active timer to expire.

These are attainable in game as low percentage drops from space combat, ground combat, and mini-game wins. During Star Trek Online's one year Anniversary week, they were also attainable from the fountain on Earth Spacedock and from a pile of oversized Tribbles in The Great Hall of Qo'nos as part of the mission “Benevolent BeQuest (Daily)”.
