Energy Weapons Surgical Strikes icon (Federation).png

Increases your Base Damage, Accuracy and Critical Hit Chance with energy weapons, but also decreases their attack speed for a brief duration.

  • Game Description: Activating this ability will cause all of your beam and cannon weapons to deal significantly more damage and benefit from increased Accuracy Rating, Critical Hit Chance, and Critical Severity. However, they will also fire more slowly while this is in effect.

Rank I: Lt. Commander 30 sec

Upgrades all of your Energy Weapons for 10 sec. While active, they fire shots half as frequently as normal but in return:

  • Your energy weapons deal 230% of their normal damage
  • Your energy weapons have +30% Accuracy
  • Your energy weapons have +30% Critical Chance
  • Your energy weapons have +40% Critical Severity
Rank II: Commander 30 sec

Upgrades all of your Energy Weapons for 10 sec. While active, they fire shots half as frequently as normal but in return:

  • Your energy weapons deal 280% of their normal damage
  • Your energy weapons have +30% Accuracy
  • Your energy weapons have +30% Critical Chance
  • Your energy weapons have +60% Critical Severity
Rank III: Commander 30 sec

Upgrades all of your Energy Weapons for 10 sec. While active, they fire shots half as frequently as normal but in return:

  • Your energy weapons deal 330% of their normal damage
  • Your energy weapons have +30% Accuracy
  • Your energy weapons have +30% Critical Chance
  • Your energy weapons have +80% Critical Severity

Notes[]

  • This ability halves your attack speed, but more than doubles your damage per shot, resulting in an increased base damage per second. The increase in critical chance increases effective damage considerably.
  • Previous versions of this ability, while not specifically listed, included a damage modifier of 182%(SS1)-220% (SS3). When initially released on October 14th, 2014, the Damage modifier, Accuracy and Critical Chance were much higher but was reduced to previously mentioned levels after the March 26th, 2015 patch.

  • Increased damage multipliers at all ranks. Rank I went up by approximately 30%, Rank II by about 40%, and Rank III by about 50%.
  • Standardized the amount of Critical Chance and Accuracy at all ranks, to 30% of both.
  • Added a scaling amount of Critical Severity to all ranks. Rank I = +40, Rank II = +60, Rank III = +80.
