This firing mode functions similarly to a Bridge Officer enhancement, but only works with this weapon. While active, this mode will cause the Experimental Romulan Beam Array to deal extra damage, apply a high-damage plasma burn DoT, and decrease the target's resistance to incoming energy damage.
