Ajilon Prime
Ajilon Prime is the third planet in the contested Ajilon System in the Archanis Sector and a Federation colony world. Due to its location within Klingon space, Starfleet is constantly embroiled in fights to defend the colony.
Description & History[]
Ajilon Prime is the only class-M world of its system and hosts a Federation colony including a Starfleet base at Tananda Bay as well as the Decker Memorial Hospital.
During a brief Federation-Klingon War in 2373, Ajilon Prime was still part of Federation space and invaded by the Klingon Empire after the ceasefire ordered by Chancellor Gowron broke down. Reinforcements were dispatched aboard the U.S.S. Farragut, but the vessel was destroyed before reaching the planet. The U.S.S. Defiant reached the planet two days later, and Klingon forces pulled out following the reinstatement of the ceasefire.
