Antiproton Matter Conversion Dual Heavy Cannons are an Antiproton-based directed energy damage weapon available for starships. Dual Heavy Cannons fire in a 45° arc - 2 times per cycle, at 2 shots per second, for a total of 4 shots, and then recharge for 3 seconds. They have the same DPS as Dual Cannons, however they come with innate +10 Critical Severity bonus. They can only be mounted in the fore weapon slots. Their damage will fall off with distance to the target.

Antiproton Matter Conversion weapons have a chance to restore hull hit points over time and a chance to reduce the target's resistance rating against all energy damage. The target's resistance rating against antiproton is reduced more than other types of resistance rating.

Obtaining

Matter Conversion Antiproton weapons are reclaimable by accounts who completed the “Crystalline Cataclysm” Featured TFO which ran from August 16th, 2018 to September 6th, 2018.

It can now be purchased from the Zen Store for 8,000 Zen small icon.png under the name Crystal Power Pack as part of "Mudd's Market", though it periodically goes on massive discounts (upwards of 85% during special promotional sales).

Modifiers

Very Rare Antiproton Matter Conversion weapons will have two modifier suffixes and Ultra Rare will have three. The additional proc can be considered the missing modifier. Epic adds a fourth unique modifier.

Standard Modifiers: Can appear multiple times (e.g. [Acc]x2, [CrtH]x2, etc.)

  • [Acc]: +10 Accuracy Rating
  • [CrtD]: +20% Critical Severity
  • [CrtH]: +2% Critical Chance
  • [Dmg]: +X Damage

Epic Modifier: All energy weapons upgraded to Epic quality receive:

  • [Ac/Dm]: +10 Accuracy Rating and +X Damage
  • Re-engineering options: [Ac/Dm], [Ac/CrtD], [Ac/CrtH], [CrtD/Dm], [CrtH/CrtD], [CrtH/Dm].

There are several factors that can affect performance of space weapons. These are modifier suffixes, skill points, consoles and equipment sets.
