The Balancar System is a system located in the Balancar Sector of the Alpha Quadrant. It is known as the only source of syrup of squill. In 2373 the Agricultural Consortium on Balancar banned exports of the syrup claiming it was experiencing a drought. This however was a ruse designed to inflate the price of the product.
