The Cnidarian Defender is a Tier 6 Cruiser which may be flown by characters of any faction. This starship can be used from any level upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.

Players can obtain this starship by claiming it from the "Events" UI after completing the (2022) Risian Lohlunat Festival. Players who earn this ship through its associated Event may visit the “Reclaim Rewards” store, accessible via the "Events" UI, to reclaim this starship on any character on the account. The ship is currently unobtainable for those who missed the event, but may be added to Mudd's Market or the Phoenix Prize Pack in the future.

Overview

There is no computer record of any such vessel. Unknown ship. Unknown configuration. Not responding to hails. Our sensor signals just seem to bounce off.

This living ship is actually a sentient and benevolent being, first encountered by Starfleet during the infamous "Encounter at Farpoint" mission, led by the U.S.S. Enterprise under the command of Captain Jean-Luc Picard. Many members of this cosmozoan species have entered into a tentative agreement with the Khitomer Alliance to serve as provisionary members, and are offering their services as exploratory and defense vessels to further this burgeoning relationship.

Notes

• The Cnidarian Defender is the first playable Cosmozoan in Star Trek Online, as a playable version of a Farpoint Cnidarian. It is not the first playable "bio-organic" starship however, with both Hur'q and Undine ships preceding it.
• It is among the largest playable vessels in the game, being similar in diameter to the saucer of the Universe-class but having substantially more height than the saucer.
