Cutting Tractor Beam
The Console - Universal - Cutting Tractor Beam is obtained by the players of all factions from the [Borg Lock Box] and [Infinity Prize Pack: Cross-Faction or Salvaged Console]. This console can be equipped on any ship and can be put into any console slot. Player may only equip one of these consoles.
Game Description[]
Activating this console deploys a Borg Generator, which uses a cutting tractor beam to harvest technology from enemy ships. This tractor beam deals significant Kinetic Damage over 30 seconds. The console's Distinctiveness enhancement improves integration with other Universal Consoles - each time a Universal Console is activated, the damage of all Universal Consoles is increased for a period of time. Lastly, it provides some moderate bonuses to Energy Damage Resistance and Hull Healing skills.
This hijacked Borg Generator can't make use of the material it collects with the Cutting Beam, but makes an excellent weapon if employed carefully. Its habit of selecting the most technologically dense parts of the foe tends to cripple vessels it can core deeply into.

The stacking damage buff granted to activating Universal Consoles by the Cutting Tractor Beam is called "Collected Technology" in the ability tooltips.
