The Courier Pilot Raider is a Tier 6 Raider which may be flown by characters of any faction. This starship can be used from any level upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.
Players can obtain this starship as a ultra rare drop from the [Discovery: Unlikely Allies Lock Box]. The boxed ship is not bound and so may be traded to other players or bought and sold on the Exchange for energy credits under the name [Special Requisition Pack - Courier Pilot Raider [T6]].
Overview[]
Outrunning, outmaneuvering, and outwitting your pursuers is the name of the game for Couriers of the Emerald Chain. This ship epitomizes the pursuit of those tactics perhaps better than any other in the Couriers' ragtag fleets. Improvements to artificial gravity alongside high-capacity inertial dampers allow this ship to confuse sensors with its constant spiraling motions, without risking damage to any cargo it is hauling. Couriers unable to avoid a confrontation are known to use crowded areas of space to their advantage, such as debris fields, asteroid clusters, or traffic-choked trade lanes, where this ship's ability to zigzag through those tight quarters is sure to give it the advantage.

SKIN UNLOCK: Free with this starship One of the Courier’s most versatile and agile ship designs as seen in Episode 1 of Star Trek: Discovery’s 3rd Season, this small-but-menacing vessel was commanded by the unscrupulous Cosmo Traitt – a rival from within the organization known only as “Couriers” which we would later learn answered directly to the crime syndicate empire of the Emerald Chain. |

Abilities[]
Universal consoles[]
The Courier Pilot Raider comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Debris Screen].
Experimental Weapon[]
The Courier Pilot Raider comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.
This vessel comes with the unique [Rotor Rockets]. The unique spinning motion of these rockets is caused by a small shield-disruption device nicknamed the "graviton driller" which is fitted within each projectile. This experimental technology allows them to slip past the shields of most starships, but significantly reduces the yield of each projectile, and makes their guidance path a bit erratic. To compensate for the reduced yield, this launcher is equipped to fire multiple projectiles at a time.
Pilot Maneuvers
Pilot ships can perform a sudden maneuver in each horizontal direction: Forward, Backward, Left or Right. Executing each maneuver will rapidly reposition your starship while granting very brief damage immunity, but costs all available thruster fuel which takes several seconds to recover.
Improved Raider Flanking
Frigates, Light Escorts, Raiders, and Scout Ships come with a built-in passive damage boost available when striking an enemy's rear arc. To support their high turn rate and maneuverability, improved raider flanking grants:
- +40% damage when attacking an NPC's enemy rear arc.
- +13% damage when attacking a Player enemy's rear arc.
Specialization seating
The Courier Pilot Raider features the following specialist seats:
Commander Tactical/Pilot
Lieutenant Universal/Miracle Worker
Standard configuration[]
Starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.

Scaling starship
This starship's equipment slots, base hull capacity and shield capacity scale as your level increases.
Equipment slots and seating[]
As you rank up every 10 levels, up to level 40, the ship's forward weapon slots, aft weapon slots, tactical console slots, engineering console slots, science console slots and available bridge officer (boff) abilities will slowly increase toward endgame capabilities:
| Level | Boff seats | |||||

Hull strength[]
This table shows how the ship's hull strength scales at each level. The base hull of all scaling starships is 10,000, which is then multiplied by the ship's hull modifier (0.9 for the Courier Pilot Raider), and then multiplied by the scaling multiplier below at each level.
