Cryo Tribble is a Tribble: a cute, round, furry creature that purrs when touched which has a tranquilizing effect on most races. This tribble seems to have gotten into something that has modified its physiology. Its blood has an enzyme that acts like a natural anti-freeze. This Tribble is a Polygeminus grex cryonic.

Petting this tribble will have the effect of slightly stimulating the body's natural ability to resist all types of damage. Additionally, this Tribble will grant you bonus resistance to cold damage.

Can only be activated out of combat.

• This is a special breedable item for players who have completed the mission “Cold Comfort”. The reward from the mission, the [Deferi Snow Tuber], could originally be fed to either a Mat or Riv tribble to breed the cryo. However, a February 2011 update allowed to breed it from any tribble.
