Cyclic Modulation Blast Assaults are ranged ground weapons available for characters and bridge officers. They fire an energy damage bolt at a single target. Their secondary fire mode releases a concentrated ball of energy that explodes on contact and deals damage in a radius with a chance to knock back targets.
Cyclic Modulation weapons were a reward during the Borg Resurgence event. After accruing a total of 14 days' worth of Daily Progress, weapons can be unpacked from the [Weapon Pack: Cyclic Modulation Weaponry]. Each weapon can be reclaimed from the Event store (Mission Journal - Event tab on PC), on any character on that account.
Tertiary power[]
Special Ability: Cyclic Modulation
Cyclic Modulation (or C-MOD) weaponry sacrifices its use as an improvised melee weapon, in favor of a manual energy recalibration function. When using the tertiary 'attack' this weapon will cycle to a different energy type, as well as providing Shield and Armor Penetration to the next few attacks made with it.
Cycle through the six primary weapon damage types, in this order: Phaser -> Disruptor -> Plasma -> Tetryon -> Polaron -> Antiproton (Repeat). Once a mode is chosen, it will persist indefinitely. For next 3 shots: +20% Shield Penetration and +10% Armor Penetration.
