Overview[]
The modern design of many Federation escorts eschew the old visuals of graceful necks and extended pylons, in lieu of a squat and compact design that favors rapid transfer of subsystem power and fewer structural integrity stress focal points. These technological improvements in turn are typically utilized to give these vessels increased maneuverability or firepower. However, in the case of the new Da Vinci, many of these integrated improvements are also being utilized in novel and inventive ways, allowing the vessel to support experimental technology and techniques that ships of its size are rarely known for.
Class variants
Class | Information |
---|---|
SKIN UNLOCK: Free The Saber class Escort is a late 24th century model, brought into service to combat the Borg. The design saw extensive action in the Dominion War, where Starfleet officers enjoyed its heavy armament and compact target profile. | |
SKIN UNLOCK: Free The Rapier-class Escort represents a balance between the more traditional design philosophy of the Saber class, and the more radical-looking Andorian-inspired Ushaan class. The Rapier class was designed by staff from the Starfleet Corps of Engineers who served on the older U.S.S. da Vinci. It has several structural and functional improvements that the da Vinci's crew tested on Saber-class vessels during the Dominion War. | |
SKIN UNLOCK: Free The Ushaan-class Escort takes its name from the traditional Ushaan, a historical Andorian duel to the death. The name is fitting, given the design's similarity to the ushaan-tor mining pick the duel is named for. | |
SKIN UNLOCK: Gladius Escort Refit, 37,500 The Gladius class is a variant on the Saber class that saw extensive action during the Dominion War. The Gladius has an updated look and technology for Starfleet captains in the 25th century. | |
Mirror |
SKIN UNLOCK: Mirror Saber Escort Retrofit, A Tier 5 Mirror universe counterpart of the Saber. In the ship tailor the saucer and hull are Ushaan and nacelles are Rapier. |

Abilities[]
Universal consoles[]
The Da Vinci Miracle Worker Escort comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Troyius Protocol].
Experimental Weapon[]
The Da Vinci-class Miracle Worker Escort comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.
This vessel comes with the unique [Gatling Emitter]. This weapon will take a few seconds to spin up and lock on to your current foe, after which it is designed to rapidly deal damage until the foe is no longer a valid target. It cannot be manually re-targeted, and will instead continue attacking the designated foe until they die, move out of range, or otherwise can no longer be attacked.
Cyclical Quantum Slipstream Drive[]
Cyclical Quantum Slipstream Drive is a built-in ability which allows improved Sector Space travel speed of 107.8 (approx Warp 23) for 90 seconds instead of normal 30 seconds. Re-initializing it takes 30 seconds instead of normal 120 seconds.
Innovation Effects
The Da Vinci-class Miracle Worker Escort features built-in Innovation mechanic which requires activation of three bridge officer abilities corresponding to colors on the Innovation display window. Successfully matching the colors will automatically trigger the available Innovation effect for 10 seconds. One of six possible Innovation effects will be randomly selected each time the Innovation mechanic refreshes.
- Instinctive Rerouting (Bonus to All Subsystem Power)
- Containment Layering (Temporary Hull based on Max Hull)
- Heisenberg Decoupling (Secondary Shields based on Max Shields)
- Plasma Conduit Purge (Self-Targeted AOE Plasma Damage-over-Time)
- Ingenious Solutions (Bonus to Recharge Speeds for Bridge Officer and Captain Abilities)
- Barclay Maneuver (Photonic Copy of your starship which uses Ramming Speed on a nearby foe)
