Device - Heavy Tetryon Satellite Turret is a rare consumable deployable ship device that is obtained through Duty Officer Assignments. Using this device deploys a level X+1 satellite turret that will remain in a fixed position for 300 seconds and target nearby hostiles with tetryon beams.
- X = the level of player
- If the player is level 35 the Satellite Turret will be 36.
If a player, level 50, tries to sell/trade Satellites, level 51, to a player, level 35, the level-35 player will see the item as level 36. The item auto - Scales the level.

Device - Heavy Tetryon Satellite Turret can be obtained from:
Assignment: Assemble from Prototype - Federation version which requires the Heavy Tetryon Turret Prototype Plans.
Assignment: Purchase Prototype - Klingon version which does not require Prototype Plans, but the assignment costs 50,000 to receive a stack with 20 pieces/charges.
This item cannot be purchased from an npc vendor.
It can be traded, mailed, sold, or purchased from the Exchange system.
Fire Power[]
A small but useful fire support.
It is equipped with a Tetryon Beam and will deal Tetryon Damage to the selected target.
- For a level 51 Satellite, compared to an enemy ship of the same rank, the damage is very small (each hit on the target will deal 10-12 HP damage with a critical chance of 22 HP) but can be a good help when you have trouble destroying a ship, even in Elite Mode gameplay.
- At level 65 they do a lot more damage - between approximately 40 HP and a 1000 HP - depending on the buffs applied.

Usage / Tips[]
The Turret is only for Space combat.
After the related assignment is finished, the device will auto-equip on Device Slots on your ship, and a new skill icon will appear on the space skills interface.
- Ability icons Deploy (devices) will appear on your ship's abilities interface.
If it's not there it means that all the slots are filled with other devices and will go into your inventory.
The device has no shields and at level 51 it has a hull of 3721 HP. (At level 65 it has a hull of 18.622 HP.)(All Heavy Turrets and Torpedo Platforms have the same amount of hitpoints.) (...and the torpedo platform mesh has no bottom :( )
Once you have deployed (clicked on the icon skill) the Turret, it will stay on that location and start to hit the enemies within 10km aggro/fire range.
- The Device Heavy Tetryon Satellite Turret shares the same cooldown with any other Satellite Turrets or Torpedo Platforms.
If you have more than one Deployable Device type (satellites or platforms) or item in a stack, note that you can launch only 1. You can't use a satellite or a platform with an additional satellite or platform.
It does not share the same cooldown with Ability: Fleet Support and both can be used in combination.
The cooldown to launch a new satellite is 300 seconds (5 min.).
Even if the satellite is destroyed in the first seconds, the timer will keep counting down till 0. If the device is not destroyed, it will vanish after 5 minutes. When the cooldown is over you can launch a new device.
