Donia

Donia is the homeworld of the Donian species and located in the Donia System of the Risa Sector.
The planet is covered by an artificial grid, abandoned cities and bodies of water, all of which uniformly orange colored and devoid of life. An asteroid field is situated between Donia, its moon and Donia Space Station, an alien starbase. Donia was once inhabited by a highly industrial society, but in the late 2380s, the Federation had to help the remaining population evacuate their dying world. Little was done when pollution began to damage the ecosystem, and when the vast forests that once covered the southern continent were destroyed to make room for more growth, the resulting greenhouse effect raised average temperatures by more than 10 degrees over a 200-year period.

- “Donia System Patrol”: Three civilian ships are destroyed by Gorn ships hiding in the Donia System asteroid belt. Starfleet subsequently eliminates all Hegemony vessels, including several squadrons of Vishap Frigates.
