- With Season 7, all Borg drops from STFs were replaced by Omega Marks for the personal Reputation System.
Encrypted Data Chips (or EDCs) are obtained from completing Special Task Force missions. They can occur as Uncommon drops, although such drops usually seem very rare (considering that they are found in Very Rare Item containers). Additionally, on successful completion of an STF each player is awarded one EDC for normal difficulty or two for elite. Weekly events can double these rewards.

This is a Borg Encrypted Data Chip. It can be used to requisition new equipment from the Requisition Officer on DS9. The Requisition Officer is located in the Omega Force Pavillion on the Promenade.
