The energy yield of the Rapid Fire Missile Launcher is comparable with modern weaponry, but the low, low energy cost of deploying them allows the missiles to be fired at a rapid pace.
Despite the tooltip, the Rapid Fire Missile Launcher is affected by abilities that affect torpedoes. It is not clear if normal consoles affect it, but it does Kinetic Damage and has a 2 second reload time.
