Khitomer is the primary planet of the Khitomer System and an important Klingon Empire colony world.

History[ | ]

In 2293, Khitomer was the site of a conference that led to the Khitomer Accords which laid the foundations for peaceful relations between the Federation and the Klingon Empire for decades. The crews of the U.S.S. Enterprise-A and U.S.S. Excelsior played a vital role in the success of the conference.

In 2346, Ja'rod of the House of Duras betrays the Klingon colonists and gives the Romulans information that allows them to invade Khitomer and wipe out its 4,000 inhabitants. Worf and Kahlest are the only known survivors.

In 2382, Klingon forces led by General Mojog retake Khitomer and the colony is gradually rebuilt.

Missions involved[ | ]

  • ROM “Turning Point”: Representatives from the Klingon Empire, Federation, and Romulan Star Empire meet on Khitomer to discuss recognizing the Romulan Republic as a legitimate interstellar power.
    Attack on khitomer2

J'mpok launches a mycelial weapon on Khitomer.

  • ALL “The Khitomer Discord”: Khitomer hosts the members of the Khitomer Alliance, with Alliance iconography and chambers renamed. J'mpok later sends his men to slaughter everyone in the Chamber of Conquest/Alliance, including other Klingons. After Ja'rod's death, he fires the Lukara's stolen mycelial weapon from his flagship, the I.K.S. Kri'stak, devastating the facilities and killing numerous delegates present. Fortunately, the player, Martok, J'Ula and Adet'pa were able to rescue up to fifteen survivors and escape in time.

Notes[ | ]

  • Khitomer was redesigned with Season Twenty: House Divided. In Season Twenty-two: House Reborn, the Alliance-dressed version of the map was given a blue hue, distinguishing it from its red Klingon look, though this is presumably a bug as reflections of the mycelial weapon can be seen in every chamber. This bug has eventually been removed and Khitomer retains the red Klingon look.
