The Fire Suppression Device is a mission item from “Researcher Rescue”, where it is used to put out fires on Kassae Station at Kassae II.

Game description

Blast fire suppressant directly in front of you to extinguish small fires. May also extinguish some fires, such as those created from Plasma Grenade or Exothermic Induction Field. Can also extinguish a target who is on fire.

• Affects anything except yourself
• 15.24 meter range, 45 degree cone
• 0.8 sec activate

Notes

• In the combat log, this device is listed as dealing Special Damage to the fires it puts out.
• This device deals a very small amount of Cold Damage to Tholians not wearing exo-suits, such as during the Tholian Incursion on Nukara Prime.
• This item will not put out fires that the player must extinguish to progress later story missions, such as those in “Surface Tension” or “Terminal Expanse”. It will also no longer put out the fires in the “Undine Infiltration” TFO during the optional objective Firefight. Those missions all have their own mechanisms for extinguishing fires.
