The Fleet Dhelan-class Warbird Retrofit is a Tier 5 (Level 50) Warbird which may be flown by Romulan Republic characters, as well as characters of any other faction. All faction restrictions of this starship can be removed by having a level 65 KDF character or by purchasing the Cross Faction Flying unlock from the Zen Store.

Players can obtain this starship from any Ship and Shuttle Requisitions officer for 20,000  and 4 , so long as the player's Fleet has a Tier II Starbase Shipyard and one Starbase Military Fleet Ship Provision. If the player already owns the Dhelan Warbird Retrofit from the Zen Store, the Fleet Ship Module cost is reduced to 1.

Overview

The Dhelan-class Warbird was designed in the 23rd century in response to the Romulan Star Empire's conflicts with the Federation. The ship was larger than the T'liss-class Warbird and carried a heavier payload of weapons to give it an edge in potential conflicts against the Federation's Constitution-class vessels.

As conflicts between the Federation and the Romulan Empire diminished, the Dhelan class remained in the prototype stage, never seeing implementation in actual combat. Recently, unfinished models of the vessel have been modernized and put to use by the remnants of the Romulan people, who are utilizing any resources they can find to survive.

Federation and Klingon Empire Fleets, which Republic officers are part of, have made further upgrades to the Dhelan-class Retrofits. These Fleet Starships are built to the highest standard and have increased Hull Hit Points, Shield Strength and an additional Tactical Console slot.

Dhelan class Type 1	SKIN UNLOCK: Free Deployed by the Romulan Star Empire in the late 23rd century, the Dhelan-class design was imagined as a bridge between the T'liss Light Warbird of the 23rd century and the D'deridex Warbird Battlecruiser of the 24th century. The Dhelan class takes visual cues from the Mogai Heavy Warbird. However, this vessel is much stockier, with the main body and wings being shorter and thicker, and comes with a secondary wing that arches over the primary wing. The Dhelan class has more customization options than most of the other Romulan Warbirds, giving the player an option to choose between three different wing configurations: Type 1 - top wing arching up Type 2 - top wing removed Type 3 - top wing has a much lower arch

Dhael class Type 1	SKIN UNLOCK: Dhael Warbird, 37,500 When the Romulan Republic began working on expanding its fleet, the previously forgotten Dhelan class was brought back to life and refitted. The new Dhael class offers a much sleeker look than the Dhelan class, but features the same dual-wing configuration as its predecessor. Large silver armor plates cover the main hull and wings, and the aft engine section has been separated into two large ridges. Hathos class	SKIN UNLOCK: Hathos Warbird, 3,000 The Hathos class is based upon highly successful designs for the Dhelan class, but designed with a Reman aesthetic in mind, giving her a more aggressive look. Hathos class also comes with Tulwar, Scimitar and Falchion material types, unlocking them for all Dhelan variants.

Universal consoles

The Fleet Dhelan Warbird Retrofit doesn't come equipped with any universal consoles.

However, it can equip [Console - Universal - Singularity Inverter] and [Console - Universal - Sabotage Probe Launcher] which form the Enhanced Defensive Systems Set. These consoles are obtainable with Dhael-class Warbird Refit (T2) and Dhelan-class Warbird Retrofit (T5). For each console added after the first, an additional passive bonus is unlocked.

Battle Cloak

The Fleet Dhelan-class Warbird Retrofit has a battle cloak that allows the ship to cloak during combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking.

Experimental Weapon

The Fleet Dhelan-class Warbird Retrofit comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.

Singularity

As a Romulan Warbird, the Fleet Dhelan-class Warbird Retrofit comes with built-in Singularity abilities. These abilities do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Warbirds. These powers build in severity based on the charge built up by the ship's Singularity Core.

T5-X upgrade

By using an [Experimental Ship Upgrade Token], the Fleet Dhelan-class Warbird Retrofit may be upgraded to T5-X, unlocking an extra ship device slot, universal console slot, and the ability to slot an extra starship trait.

Note that upgrading the Dhelan Warbird Retrofit, the standard non-fleet version of the Fleet Dhelan Warbird Retrofit, will not apply the upgrade to this starship.
