Release date: November 4, 2021
The Fleet Nova-class Pilot Scout Ship is a Tier 6 Scout Ship which may be flown by Starfleet characters, including Federation-aligned Romulan Republic and Dominion characters. All faction restrictions of this starship can be removed by having a level 65 KDF character or by purchasing the Cross Faction Flying unlock from the Zen Store. This starship can be used from any level upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.
Players can obtain this starship from any Ship and Shuttle Requisitions officer for 20,000 and 5 , so long as the player's Fleet has a Tier I Shipyard and one Starbase Military Fleet Ship Provision. If the player already owns the Equinox Pilot Scout Ship from the Zen Store, the Fleet Ship Module cost is reduced to 1.
Overview[ | ]
The fleet version of the Tier 6 Pilot Scout Ship has been updated with the latest technology from your fleet's shipyard. It has slightly improved stats over its counterpart, but does not come with a starship trait or special equipment.
Class variants
Class | Information |
---|---|
SKIN UNLOCK: Free The Nova class was designed for short-term planetary research missions. It was placed in service starting in the mid-to-late 24th century. It is not typically suitable for combat operations. In Star Trek canon, the Nova design has a maximum speed of warp 8 and approximately eighty crew members. One unique feature of the Nova class is its Waverider shuttle, which is located in a special docking port on the ventral side of the primary hull, similar to that of the Aeroshuttle on the Intrepid-class. Unlike the Aeroshuttle, however, the Waverider is not currently included in the game. The Nova class also shares a nacelle design in-game with the Oslo-class Heavy Escort. | |
SKIN UNLOCK: Free Like its sister Nova-class ships, the Aurora class vessels were designed for short-range scientific missions, as well as scouting during military operations. Its slim, aerodynamic design was intended to maximize the efficiency of its high-frequency warp envelope. | |
SKIN UNLOCK: Free Named for the distant black holes that are the most luminous objects in the universe, the Quasar class boasts some of the most advanced technology available for small scouting and science vessels. It and its sister ships are equipped with deflector shields to prevent space debris and objects from damaging the starship. | |
SKIN UNLOCK: Rhode Island Science Vessel Refit, 37,500 The Rhode Island class is a refit of the Nova class for the 25th century. The first vessel of its kind, U.S.S. Rhode Island is commanded by Captain Harry Kim. More capable a ship than the Nova and rivaling her sister ships, the refit can handle combat with heavy Klingon warships from 2404 and travel at warp speeds high enough to conduct deep space exploration. | |
Mirror |
SKIN UNLOCK: Mirror Nova Science Vessel Retrofit, A Tier 5 Mirror universe counterpart of the Nova. In the ship tailor the saucer is Aurora and the rest are Quasar. |
SKIN UNLOCK: Equinox Pilot Scout Ship, 3000 The nimble and versatile Nova-class experiences a resurrection for the modern era in this updated and improved design. The state-of-the-art propulsion and maneuverability of this successor, coupled with numerous improvements to its bridge station customization options, has reclassified this already-beloved class as a Scout Ship. It retains its scientific focus on short-range research and planetary surveying, while also embracing a modern need for improved starship speed at both impulse and warp speeds. |

Abilities[ | ]
Universal consoles[ | ]
Raider Flanking
Frigates, Light Escorts, Raiders, and Scout Ships come with a built-in passive damage boost available when striking an enemy's rear arc. To support their high turn rate and maneuverability, standard raider flanking grants:
- +33% damage to NPC enemy when attacking rear arc.
- +11% damage to Player enemy when attacking rear arc.
Pilot Maneuvers
Pilot ships can perform a sudden maneuver in each horizontal direction: Forward, Backward, Left or Right. Executing each maneuver will rapidly reposition your starship while granting very brief damage immunity, but costs all available thruster fuel which takes several seconds to recover.
Sensor Analysis[]
Sensor Analysis is an active toggle ability. While maintaining a Sensor Lock on a target, the player gains a stacking effect that either improves the damage and power drain against an enemy, or improves any heal directed towards an ally. This effect stacks every 3 seconds, to a maximum of 6 stacks after 18 continuous seconds. To maintain the desired effect, the player must hold the sensor lock.
Subsystem Targeting[]
The Fleet Nova-class Pilot Scout Ship comes with built-in Subsystem Targeting abilities. These built-in abilities stay at Rank I and do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Science starships. They are separate from Subsystem Targeting abilities gained through Tactical Space Bridge officer abilities.
- Target Auxiliary Subsystems I
- Target Weapons Subsystems I
- Target Engines Subsystems I
- Target Shields Subsystems I
Activating a subsystem targeting ability will upgrade all energy weapons to inflict a stacking power drain on the foe's targeted subsystem for the next 10 seconds. They will also have a small chance to knock the targeted subsystem offline for a short duration.
Specialization seating
The Fleet Nova-class Pilot Scout Ship features the following specialist seats:
- Commander Science/Pilot
Standard configuration[ | ]
Federation starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.
Equipment
Scaling starship
This starship's equipment slots, base hull capacity and shield capacity scale as your level increases.
Equipment slots and seating[]
As you rank up every 10 levels, up to level 40, the ship's forward weapon slots, aft weapon slots, tactical console slots, engineering console slots, science console slots and available bridge officer (boff) abilities will slowly increase toward endgame capabilities:
Level | Boff seats | |||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|

30-39 | 3 | 3 | 4 | 4 | 2 | |

Hull strength[]
This table shows how the ship's hull strength scales at each level. The base hull of all scaling starships is 10,000, which is then multiplied by the ship's hull modifier (0.99 for the Fleet Nova-class Pilot Scout Ship), and then multiplied by the scaling multiplier below at each level.
