The Fleet Peghqu'-class Heavy Destroyer is a Tier 5 (Level 50) Destroyer which may be flown by Klingon Defense Force characters. All faction restrictions of this starship can be removed by having a level 65 KDF character or by purchasing the Cross Faction Flying unlock from the Zen Store.
Players can obtain this starship from any Ship and Shuttle Requisitions officer if they are a 1000-day Veteran or a lifetime subscriber for 20,000 and 1 , so long as the player's Fleet has a Tier II Spire and one Starbase Military Fleet Ship Provision.
Overview[]
The Starfleet Corps of Engineers and New Romulus Shipyards are not the only elite groups working on new starships. An engineering team at the Empire Shipyards have designed the Peghqu'-class Heavy Destroyer - a heavy ship with increased maneuverability that is nimble enough to outmaneuver a cruiser, but strong enough to take a barrage from an escort. Only experienced ship commanders with the backing of the High Council will have the chance to fly this ship.
The Peghqu' class fills a unique role in the Klingon fleet as it is more sturdy than a Bird-of-Prey, more maneuverable than a Battle Cruiser, and as described above, more flexible than a Raptor. The Battle Cloak gives it another huge advantage normally available only to more maneuverable (and fragile) Raiders on the KDF side, and Romulan Warbirds. It also comes equipped with a prototype Dynamic Tactical System (or DTS).
While the Peghqu's Dynamic Tactical System allows it the same level of versatility as the Chimera- and Daeinos-class vessels on the Federation and Romulan sides, the physical changes it introduces are less dramatic.
Engaging Tactical Mode merely raises two sections on the dorsal and ventral hull, exposing the Disruptor Lotus array. Entering warp and flying through Sector Space shows the Peghqu' extending the length of its warp nacelles slightly, for greater maneuverability at warp.
Klingon Empire Fleets have made further upgrades to the Peghqu'-class Heavy Destroyers. These Fleet Starships are built to the highest standard and have increased Hull Hit Points, Shield Strength and an additional Engineering Console slot.
Class variants[]
Class | Information |
---|---|
SKIN UNLOCK: Free The Peghqu' class physically resembles an advanced Raptor, bearing many similarities to the Puyjaq class, with rounded, curved surfaces and ribbed plating shielding the warp nacelles. Unlike the Puyjaq, the Peghqu' has slightly downward-swept and more heavily reinforced wings. The "head" section is rounded into a bullet shape, with protruding cannon mounts on each side. | |
SKIN UNLOCK: Duvqu' Heavy Destroyer, 1,000 The Duvqu' class had an extensive redesign done to the ship's impulse engines, nacelles, Disruptor Lotus emitters and the "head" section. Ship's "head" now sports two much larger cannon muzzles and a deflector array similar in design to the one on Vaadwaur Manasa-class Escort. |

Abilities[]
Universal consoles[]
The Fleet Peghqu' Heavy Destroyer doesn't come equipped with any universal consoles.
However, it can equip the [Console - Universal - Dynamic Tactical System] which allows the player to switch the Destroyer between Regenerative Mode and Tactical Mode.
- Regenerative Mode (+30 Shield Systems)
- Tactical Mode (+30 Targeting System)
While in the innate Regenerative Mode, excess power is transferred to the Auxiliary System, Starship Shield Systems skill is increased and Tachyon Inversion Beam is enabled.
Activating Tactical Mode transfers power to Weapon Systems, increases ship's Starship Targeting Systems skill granting an Accuracy bonus and enables a powerful multi-targeting Lotus capable of piercing multiple targets.
Battle Cloak
The Fleet Peghqu'-class Heavy Destroyer has a battle cloak that allows the ship to cloak during combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking.
Experimental Weapon[]
The Fleet Peghqu'-class Heavy Destroyer comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.
Standard configuration[]
Klingon starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.
