• Romulan Republic-space system patrols: The Bortasqu' sometimes assists Klingon Empire players while patrolling systems in Romulan Republic space.
• “Sphere of Influence”: The Bortasqu' assists the player in battle against an Elachi attack in the Jouret System.
• “A Step Between Stars”: The Bortasqu' under Captain Koren assists Federation and Romulan Republic players in the Jenolan Dyson Sphere against the Undine. After the immediate threat is over, Captain Koren wants to claim the Jenolan Sphere for the Empire, provoking a verbal confrontation between the three powers.
• “Day of Honor”: The player visits the bridge of the Bortasqu' and meets with its crew. The player then takes command of the ship for a brief weapons trial near Ganalda Station, testing out a new weapon against the Undine.
• “Surface Tension”: The Bortasqu' assists in repelling a massive Undine invasion of the Sol and Qo'noS systems.
• “Alliances”: The Bortasqu' is present for a conference to discuss the formation of a coalition of Delta Quadrant species to counter the threat of the Vaadwaur.
• “Midnight”: The Bortasqu' participates in the final battle against the Iconians in Earth's orbit.
• “Scylla and Charybdis”: The Bortasqu' joins the player in the defence of Bajor.
• “Storm Clouds Gather”: The Bortasqu' joins you to defend Bajor and Deep Space Nine.
• “Ruins of Doom”: The Bortasqu' aids the player against J'Ula's forces in the Imaga System.
• “The Centre Cannot Hold”: The ship assists the player in repelling House Mo'Kai and Klingon Rebel forces under J'Ula the Qu'Vat System.
• “The Khitomer Discord”: The ship aids Klingon-aligned players against the A.F.S. Khitomer, the U.S.S. Enterprise and J'mpok's forces, but sides with J'mpok against Federation-aligned players, in the Khitomer System.
• “The Fujiwhara Effect”: The Bortasqu' leads the defenses against the Terran Empire at Jupiter Station, only for her to be digitized by the Other's plasma bolts. She is restored to life following the player's successful separation of the Other and Emperor Crusher.

Other involvement

• In Tales of the War #19, the Bortasqu' is engaged in combat with the Heralds, Doctor Harza-Kull struggling to keep up with the wounded among her crew.

Notes

• The Bortasqu' was added to the game in Season Seven: New Romulus, though her existence had been implied in earlier missions.
• bortaSqu' means "fierce revenge" in Klingon. The name derives from the word bortas ("revenge") which itself was used on a D5-class and a Vor'cha-class warship.
• At the launch of Season Seven, the Bortasqu' used a "KDF" prefix rather than the conventional "IKS". As of April 2, 2013, this has been resolved.
• In the 2014 “Day of Honor” mission, the playable Bortasqu' could be seen with Federation emblems on her hull instead of the proper KDF insignia.
• Following the Victory is Life expansion, the Bortasqu' can be seen parked near Deep Space 9.
• The Bortasqu' was released as issue #4 in the Star Trek Online Starships Collection.
