The I.K.S. Kang is a Klingon vessel, and part of the Klingon Defense Force 7th Fleet.

In 2397, the Kang is secretly dispatched to Gornar to investigate a possible Undine infiltration of the Gorn government. Two years later, she returns to Qo'noS with evidence of such an infiltration.

Missions involved

• “Turning Point”: The Kang fights alongside Romulan Republic players repelling a Tal Shiar incursion in the Khitomer System in 2409.
• “Devil's Choice” and “Shadow Play”: The Kang is part of a joint Starfleet/KDF fleet that arrives to assist the Romulan Republic in defending New Romulus from an Elachi invasion force.
• “The Cure Found”: The players defend the Kang from attack by the Borg Collective in the Vorn System until it can make repairs and escape.

Missions formerly involved

• “Saturday's Child”: Captain Ja'rod respresents the Klingon Empire in the topaline negotiations with the Aelasans. The Elder Chief decrees that Starfleet and the Empire have to compete for the rare substance by destroying the "Sky Demon" threatening Aelas IV.
• “The Tribble with Klingons”: Captain Ja'rod leads a task force into the Minas Korva System to wipe out a tribble population there.

Notes

• The Kang's type seems to vary between missions. It is possible that these are different vessels bearing the same name and Captain.
  • In “Saturday's Child”, she used to appear as a Vor'cha Battle Cruiser, but has the same health and abilities as a Negh'Var Warship.
  • In “The Tribble with Klingons” and “Turning Point”, she is a standard Vor'cha with appropriate abilities.
  • In “The Cure Found”, she appears as a Tor'Kaht class Battle Cruiser with dreadnought health.
  • In “Devil's Choice” and (prior to September 2012) "The Cure Found", the Kang is a Negh'Var Warship.
