The I.S.S. Charon was the flagship of the Terran fleet in the 23rd century and served as the palace of the Terran emperor Philippa Georgiou. The ship was powered by a massive super-mycelial reactor, the same technology behind the spore hub drive.
The crew of the U.S.S. Discovery destroyed the Charon in 2256 by launching torpedoes at its core. The mycelial shockwave released by the blast allowed them to return home, but also scattered the remains of the Terran "palace" across time and space. Some of these remains, with surviving crew members aboard, found their way to 25th century prime universe, where they crashed on the surface of the planet Pahvo.

“Pahvo Dissension”: Wreckage of the Charon, brought to the prime universe by the actions of the Terran captain Tilly in “Illusion of Communication”, is visible on Pahvo as the surviving Terran officers fight to take control of the planet.
