The Janeway-class Command Science Vessel is a Tier 6 Science Vessel which may be flown by Starfleet characters, including Federation-aligned Romulan Republic and Dominion characters. All faction restrictions of this starship can be removed by having a level 65 KDF character or by purchasing the Cross Faction Flying unlock from the Zen Store. This starship can be used from any level upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.
Players can obtain this starship from a [Special Requisition Choice Pack - Tier 6 Promotional Ship Choice Pack], which has a ultra rare chance to drop from a [Infinity Promotion R&D Pack] or a [Infinity Promotion Duty Officer Pack]. This box is bound to you until a ship is chosen. The boxed ship is not bound and so may be traded to other players or bought and sold on the Exchange for energy credits under the name [Special Requisition Pack - Janeway Command Science Vessel [T6]].
Overview[ | ]
In a distant future timeline, Federation starships have undergone a number of interesting evolutions of both technology and aesthetics. Some still reflect elements of their original lineage though, as is true with the Janeway-class Command Science Vessel. Drawing its original inspiration from the Intrepid-class starships of the late-24th century, this ship has been updated to focus on speed and maneuverability in local space, without sacrificing its scientific capabilities. Unlike classic science vessels, this ship focuses its power output on hull integrity rather than shield capacity, and has also been specifically outfitted to serve as a fleet command vessel.

SKIN UNLOCK: Free with this starship In a distant future timeline, Federation starships have undergone a number of interesting evolutions of both technology and aesthetics. Drawing its original inspiration from the Intrepid-class starships of the late-24th century, the Janeway-class is distinctly 32nd century in its design - minimalistic with a sleek and streamlined profile. Through the use of programmable matter, each of major section of the ship is detached and hovering in place. |

Abilities[ | ]
Universal consoles[ | ]
The Janeway Command Science Vessel comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Photonic Cannon].
Sensor Analysis[]
Sensor Analysis is an active toggle ability. While maintaining a Sensor Lock on a target, the player gains a stacking effect that either improves the damage and power drain against an enemy, or improves any heal directed towards an ally. This effect stacks every 3 seconds, to a maximum of 6 stacks after 18 continuous seconds. To maintain the desired effect, the player must hold the sensor lock.
Subsystem Targeting[]
The Janeway-class Command Science Vessel comes with built-in Subsystem Targeting abilities. These built-in abilities stay at Rank I and do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Science starships. They are separate from Subsystem Targeting abilities gained through Tactical Space Bridge officer abilities.
- Target Auxiliary Subsystems I
- Target Weapons Subsystems I
- Target Engines Subsystems I
- Target Shields Subsystems I
Activating a subsystem targeting ability will upgrade all energy weapons to inflict a stacking power drain on the foe's targeted subsystem for the next 10 seconds. They will also have a small chance to knock the targeted subsystem offline for a short duration.
Specialization seating
The Janeway-class Command Science Vessel features the following specialist seats:
- Commander Science/Command
- Lieutenant Universal/Miracle Worker
Battle Cloak
The Janeway-class Command Science Vessel has a battle cloak that allows the ship to cloak during combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking. It has a unique 32nd century cloaking effect as seen in Season 3 of Star Trek: Discovery.
Inspiration Abilities
The Janeway Command Science Vessel features special Inspiration Abilities. Every time one of the team members activates a bridge officer ability, player gains an Inspiration point. When the player's Inspiration meter is full, the following abilities become available:
Standard configuration[ | ]
Federation starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.

Equipment slots and seating[]
As you rank up every 10 levels, up to level 40, the ship's forward weapon slots, aft weapon slots, tactical console slots, engineering console slots, science console slots and available bridge officer (boff) abilities will slowly increase toward endgame capabilities:

Hull strength[]
This table shows how the ship's hull strength scales at each level. The base hull of all scaling starships is 10,000, which is then multiplied by the ship's hull modifier (1.3 for the Janeway-class Command Science Vessel), and then multiplied by the scaling multiplier below at each level.

Notes[ | ]
- The 32nd century Phaser weapons that come with the Janeway Command Science Vessel are not upgradeable, and were not available anywhere else at launch. It was promised by the developers that these weapons would be available "elsewhere in the future", eventually being released as the weapon type of the Discovery: Far From Home Lock Box.
- Despite being named the Janeway-class, this ship is in fact referred to as a 32nd century Intrepid-class in Star Trek: Discovery. Its name in Star Trek Online differs to prevent confusion between the various Intrepid ship types. As a result, parts of the Janeway and the Intrepid cannot be combined.[1]
