The ship's major flaw in comparison to other Carriers is its inadequate support abilities, lacking Science Consoles and Bridge Officer slots in comparison to other Carriers. As a straight damage-dealer, the ship is excellent (in spite of its rather low turn rate), but in Team and PVE environments it is considerably less useful as it cannot effectively support teammates. In short, it can be seen as a [[Fleet Assault Cruiser Refit]] with dual hangar bays. |

- This page is about the playable ship. For the NPC ship, please see Jem'Hadar Dreadnought (Mob).

The Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier (T5) is an Admiral (Tier 5) starship with features comparable to a Carrier-type vessel. The Dreadnought is the largest known Dominion vessel, and has incredible hull strength, shield capacity, and offensive abilities.
The Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier (T5) comes with a [Console - Universal - Dominion Command Interface], which decreases a target's defenses and damage resistance, and grants the chance to temporarily disable a single subsystem if enough damage is dealt to the target in time.
Obtaining
The Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier (T5) is available from the Lobi Crystal Consortium for 800 . They may also be found on the Exchange.
Overview
A ship design introduced during the Dominion War, the massive Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carriers were some of the most powerful ships ever created by the Dominion. More than twice the mass of a Federation Galaxy Class starship, the Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier was first seen in the Alpha Quadrant by the crew of the U.S.S. Valiant in 2374. Later in the war, Dreadnought Carriers were used to destroy outposts and provide heavy support during the Battle of Cardassia.
The Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier comes standard with 2 hangar bays of Jem'Hadar Fighters. Jem'Hadar Fighters are armed with Polaron Pulse Cannons and can use Directed Energy Modulation I. Owners of the Jem'Hadar Attack Ship (the ship must be unpacked) can also purchase Jem'Hadar Attack Ship hangar items in the Dilithium Store. These items are available for use exclusively with the Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier.
Performance
As far as "true" Carriers go, the Dreadnought Carrier is the most-offensively minded - outstripping even the Fleet Kar'Fi Battle Carrier - and will perform well for any Tactical Captain. The Carrier performs roughly equivalently to a Federation Heavy Escort Carrier in PvE, with dual hangar bays, the ability to mount Dual Heavy Cannons, an ideal Tactical Console setup and an Escort-style Bridge Officer setup (including a Commander Tactical Bridge Officer slot). It can inflict serious damage, sending out swarms of Carrier pets while using its own weapons to give direct support.
In short, it can be seen as a Fleet Assault Cruiser Refit with dual hangar bays.

Abilities
The Jem'Hadar Dreadnought Carrier comes with built-in abilities. These abilities do not automatically rank up.
- Launch Jem'Hadar Fighters
- Carrier Command - Attack
- Carrier Command - Escort
- Carrier Command - Intercept
- Carrier Command - Recall
- Beam Target Auxiliary Subsystems I
- Beam Target Weapons Subsystems I
- Beam Target Engines Subsystems I
- Beam Target Shields Subsystems I
This ship can launch attack wings of Jem'Hadar Fighters in its standard configuration, though other craft can be equipped to be launched. The carrier can also give commands to those craft to order them to attack or defend selected targets.
After activating a subsystem targeting ability, the player will have 30 seconds to attack an enemy ship with any form of beam weapon. The attack will lower power to that system, and have a small chance of completely taking the system offline. If the system is taken offline it renders all abilities that use that subsystem temporarily inert. For example, if you target the shields and subsequently take them offline, then all of the enemies shield facings will go down.
