The Jem'Hadar Vanguard Dreadnought Cruiser is a Tier 6 Dreadnought Cruiser which may be flown by Dominion characters, and may be unlocked for other factions once Level 6 in its Starship Mastery is obtained. This starship can be used from any level upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.

Players can obtain this starship from the Zen Store for 3,000 . This ship can be purchased individually, or as part of the Gamma Vanguard Starter Pack for 2,000 . It is also available as part of the following: Gamma Vanguard Pack for 15,000 .

Overview

The Vanguard Fleet is the personal detachment of Dominion starships and soldiers that accompany the changeling known as Odo. As one of the few Founders with an affinity for life as a solid, he has been placed in command of this fleet in an effort to combat the re-emerging Hur'q threat.

The Jem'Hadar Vanguard Dreadnought Cruiser frequently acts as the flagship for Dominion fleets, as this commanding starship is just as suited to frontline assaults as it is to leading its fellow starships in strategic strikes from a position of authority.

SKIN UNLOCK: Free with this starship Surpassing in size the Dreadnought Carrier seen during the Dominion War, the Vanguard Dreadnought Cruiser is an imposing addition to the Dominion fleet. Large heavy plating protects the belly of the ship and massive weapons pods slung under its wings imply the heavy arsenal a ship of this size carries. A ship of this class served as Odo's Flagship during the Hur'q conflict.

The Jem'Hadar Vanguard Dreadnought Cruiser comes equipped with a single wing of Jem'Hadar Vanguard Gunboats.

As of 6/23/22 update, if the player discards their Jem'Hadar Vanguard Gunboats they have no way of reclaiming them. The only way to gain access to base quality, advanced and/or elite versions of these hangar pets is by buying Jem'Hadar Vanguard Carrier and Legendary'Jem'Hadar Vanguard Pilot Attack Ship, together, having bought the Vanguard Dreadnought Cruiser will not unlock these hangar pets in any circumstance.

These new hangar craft are frigate-rank large fighters, built for combat against the Gamma Quadrant’s deadliest threats. These fighters are equipped with one fore Polaron Dual Beam Bank, one fore Polaron Beam Array, one aft Polaron Beam Array and one aft Quantum Torpedo Launcher, and can use Attack Pattern Lambda I, Evasive Burst I, as well as have a chance of initiating Ramming Speed when below 50% Health.

The Advanced variant of the Jem'Hadar Vanguard Gunboats can be obtained from the Dilithium Store, while the Elite variant is obtainable from the Fleet Starbase with unlocked Tier V Communications Array.

This ability is part of the Vanguard Superiority Set, which also includes [Console - Universal - Linked Command Matrix], [Console - Universal - Polaron Particle Inverter] and [Console - Universal - Power Dispersal Channel] obtainable with Jem'Hadar Vanguard Carrier (T6), Jem'Hadar Vanguard Heavy Raider (T6) and Jem'Hadar Vanguard Warship (T6), but also equippable on the Jem'Hadar Vanguard Dreadnought Cruiser. For each console added after the first, an additional passive bonus is unlocked.

Vanguard Wingmen

As a Vanguard starship, the Jem'Hadar Vanguard Dreadnought Cruiser is issued two loyal Jem'Hadar ace pilots. These expert pilots fly their own Jem'Hadar Vanguard Heavy Raiders in formation with the player. Their extensive experience in team-based tactics allow them to execute powerful maneuvers.

Jem'Hadar Vanguards can perform the following maneuvers:

• Polaron Strafing Maneuver
• Structural Reinforcement Maneuver
• Divergent Shielding Maneuver

All maneuvers share a cooldown, and only one may be active at a time. Wingmen may not be ordered to attack specific targets, but will instead rapidly update their targeting parameters based on the player's chosen target.

If destroyed in combat, each Wingman will automatically rejoin the player after a short lockout period has passed.

T6-X upgrade

By using an [Experimental Ship Upgrade Token], the Jem'Hadar Vanguard Dreadnought Cruiser may be upgraded to T6-X, unlocking an extra ship device slot, universal console slot, and the ability to slot an extra starship trait.
