'Kahless the Unforgettable was the legendary 9th century Klingon figure who forged the first bat'leth, defeated the tyrant Molor, vanquished the Fek'Ihri, and united the Klingon people. He was the first Klingon Emperor and laid down the laws of honor which would guide Klingon culture for millennia.
Int he 24th Century, a clone of Kahless Kahless II, was created by the monks of Boreth and became the ceremonial figurehead of the empire once again.

“Knowledge is Power”: Kahless appears to J'Ula in a vision where he guides her through the first three trials she undertakes, including facing her in an honor duel during the third trial.
