With the recent return of some House Mo'Kai warriors to the fold – previously lost to time and Aakar’s influence – Klingon engineers have gained a boon. Some of these warriors are engineers, who carry with them secrets of the ancient Klingon technology that guided the empire before the houses were united. They have combined this with the modern technology and ship design to make some startling breakthroughs, the first of which is the M’Chla Refit Bird of Prey. This ship, designed for new Klingon Recruits, is a breakthrough in technology that allows mass production on a scale the Klingon Empire had never before reached.

The M'Chla class, much like the ships of the era, establishes a clear design aesthetic which is carried over to modern Birds-of-Prey - elongated wings, a long neck with a beak-like head. Unlike other ships of its type, its wings are in a fixed position at all times.

A 25th century refitted version of the original M'Chla-class Bird-of-Prey. While keeping the overall shape the same, the Refit is much closer in design to the classic B'rel-class Bird-of-Prey, with a standard hull livery, dorsal mission pods and beak-shaped saucer section.

Enhances specific powers
The M'Chla Bird-of-Prey Refit comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Enhanced Induction Coils].
Enhanced Battle Cloak
The M'Chla-class Bird-of-Prey Refit has an enhanced battle cloak that allows the ship to cloak during combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking. The enhanced cloak also allows the use of mines, torpedoes, and most Bridge Officer and Captain abilities while remaining cloaked.
Frigates, Light Escorts, Raiders, and Scout Ships come with a built-in passive damage boost available when striking an enemy's rear arc. To support their high turn rate and maneuverability, standard raider flanking grants:
- +33% damage to NPC enemy when attacking rear arc.
- +11% damage to Player enemy when attacking rear arc.
These starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.
- [Disruptor Turret ∞]
- [Photon Torpedo Launcher Standard Issue ∞]
This starship's equipment slots, base hull capacity and shield capacity scale as your level increases.
Equipment slots and seating
As you rank up every 10 levels, up to level 40, the ship's forward weapon slots, aft weapon slots, tactical console slots, engineering console slots, science console slots and available bridge officer (boff) abilities will slowly increase toward endgame capabilities:
This table shows how the ship's hull strength scales at each level. The base hull of all scaling starships is 10,000, which is then multiplied by the ship's hull modifier (.95 for the M'Chla-class Bird-of-Prey Refit), and then multiplied by the scaling multiplier below at each level.
