The Mars-class Pilot Escort is a Tier 6 Escort which may be flown by Starfleet characters, including Federation-aligned Romulan Republic and Dominion characters. All faction restrictions of this starship can be removed by having a level 65 KDF character or by purchasing the Cross Faction Flying unlock from the Zen Store. This starship can be used from any level upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.
Players can obtain this starship as a ultra rare drop from the [Infinity Lock Box]; it comes in an [Infinity Prize Pack - T6 Ship] choice package, which is bound to you until a ship is chosen. The boxed ship is not bound and so may be traded to other players or bought and sold on the Exchange for energy credits under the name [Special Requisition Pack - Mars Pilot Escort [T6]].
Overview[ | ]
This starship's design was born in pursuit of alternative forms of FTL travel that do not rely upon a Dilithium-based reaction. The ship's sleek and streamlined structure, as well as relatively substantial propulsion subsystems, evolved from attempts to reduce warp bubble footprints, and otherwise facilitate the ship's travel using theoretical subspace propulsion techniques.
Although the experiments with subspace manipulation ultimately failed to produce viable travel alternatives, the technology was still deemed suitable for defensive purposes, resulting in the Mars-class Escort project being deemed a qualified success. The vessel has been put into production by Starfleet with these specialized subspace emitters in place, but re-purposed to serve as deterrents against factions that might threaten the Federation.

Abilities[ | ]
Universal consoles[ | ]
The Mars Pilot Escort comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Subspace Cavitation Matrix].
Battle Cloak
The Mars-class Pilot Escort has a battle cloak that allows the ship to cloak during combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking. It has a unique 32nd century cloaking effect as seen in Season 3 of Star Trek: Discovery.
Pilot Maneuvers
Pilot ships can perform a sudden maneuver in each horizontal direction: Forward, Backward, Left or Right. Executing each maneuver will rapidly reposition your starship while granting very brief damage immunity, but costs all available thruster fuel which takes several seconds to recover.
Specialization seating
The Mars-class Pilot Escort features the following specialist seats:
- Commander Tactical/Pilot
- Lieutenant Universal/Intelligence
Experimental Weapon[]
The Mars-class Pilot Escort comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.
This vessel comes equipped with the [Subspace Pocket Projector]. These specialized emitters are capable of forming localized distortions in subspace which can then be propelled toward a nearby foe, distorting their hull and shields, and slowing their ship's ability to maneuver in normal space. These distortions are extremely unstable though, and cannot travel a long distance without dissipating, giving the weapon a short maximum range and an impact that is decreased with distance between its user and its intended large.
Standard configuration[ | ]
Federation starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.

This starship's equipment slots, base hull capacity and shield capacity scale as your level increases.
Equipment slots and seating[]
As you rank up every 10 levels, up to level 40, the ship's forward weapon slots, aft weapon slots, tactical console slots, engineering console slots, science console slots and available bridge officer (boff) abilities will slowly increase toward endgame capabilities:

Hull strength[]
This table shows how the ship's hull strength scales at each level. The base hull of all scaling starships is 10,000, which is then multiplied by the ship's hull modifier (1.15 for the Mars-class Pilot Escort), and then multiplied by the scaling multiplier below at each level.
