In the Bug Hunt ground fleet action, which follows the story mission “The Dragon's Deceit”, a team of five players escorts an explosive expert to destroy the hive of the Bluegill neural parasites that possess the Vaadwaur leadership.
Synopsis
Following the events of “The Dragon's Deceit”, namely the realization that the Vaadwaur are being possessed by the Bluegills [1], the Alliance makes an effort to track down and neutralize them. The mission begins when Alliance operatives have tracked down their main hive and a special squad is sent to destroy the hive and hunt the spawnmother within it. The squad is debriefed by an explosives expert - Lt. John VanDerveer - who will be in charge of removing obstacles while infiltrating the hive, and then setting off charges to destroy it from within. During the mission, the 5-man player team provides cover and hunts any parasite in sight. During the final battle, it is technically possible to kill the spawnmother before all the charges are set - in this case the mission ends without achieving all the possible goals of the mission.

Notes
- The mission requires the completion of “The Dragon's Deceit” – a Level 56+ mission – by at least a single character on the account in order to appear for all of them in the PvE queue list.
- The mission seems to give a nod to the 1997 movie "Starship Troopers" that revolves around hunting evil alien bugs intent on destroying Earth. For example, the explosives expert in the mission bears some resemblance to the main protagonist of that film and he comes from the U.S.S. Buenos Aires, which incidentally is named after the same hometown of said protagonist. Additionally, the dialog prompts for getting more back story are all "I would like to know more" which is a take off of "Would you like to know more?" from Starship Troopers.
