In Coliseum the player is contacted by Obisek and requested to look into the disappearance of a shipment of thalaron weapons. While investigating, the player is captured and forced to fight in a gladitorial arena by unknown forces, and must rely on fellow prisoners to execute an escape plan.
Synopsis
Obisek pleads with the player to find a ship of Remans that went missing while transporting Thalaron weapons. When the player arrives at the Nopada system, their ship is caught in an automated tractor beam trap, and the player must beam over to the satellite producing the beam in order to disable it. After solving numerous puzzles, the player is able to free their ship, but is separated from the rest of the crew when transporting back. Instead, the player arrives in some sort of prison, which they discover is a gladiatorial-style arena, along with their old "friend" Slamek. The two must survive several rounds against wild creatures in the arena before Slamek agrees to help the player escape. Together, they fight several giant worm creatures, freeing other prisoners in the process, until at last, they escape by climbing through a waste pipe that leads to the open desert. In the desert, they must either hide from, or fight Romulans, until Slamek can go no further without treatment, asking the player to find several local herbs to aid him. Once he is well enough to travel, Slamek leads the player through a canyon full of wild animals, before declaring that they must gather provisions before camping for the night. After spending the night in a cave, the player and Slamek take a shortcut through the mountain and arrive nearly at Slamek's ship, where they must cobble a communication device out of broken ship parts in order to signal the player's vessel for a rescue, just in time to be betrayed by Slamek and nearly executed by Hakeev. Afterwards, Obisek apologizes for Slamek's betrayal, but notes that now the player has proof of the involvement of others. The mission ends with the knowledge that conflict with the Romulans and Iconians may be inevitable.

Mission Text
Federation
My contacts tell me that Starfleet has rejected my request for military assistance. That is regrettable, but not unexpected. The Tal Shiar are formidable opponents, as are the forces directing their action. I understand why the Federation would hesitate to engage them directly.
So today I appeal to you, not as an ally in battle, but as a person of compassion. My people need your help. I need your help.
One of our ships was carrying a load of thalaron weapons through the Nopada system. That ship has disappeared.
There are no indications that there was a battle. It is as if my ship and its cargo simply... vanished.
I know you have your reservations about the lengths to which I will go to secure the freedom of my people. Tell me - if you do not trust me with thalaron weapons, do you want Hakeev to have them?
I can provide you with the last coordinates of the vessel. Please ... help me. Do what you will with the weapons if they survive, but find my people!
Klingon
My contacts tell me that the Empire has rejected my request for military assistance. That is regrettable, but not unexpected. The Tal Shiar are formidable opponents, as are the forces directing their action. I understand if the High Council is reluctant to engage in a battle that is not theirs.
So today I appeal to you, not as a comrade in warfare, but as an honorable warrior.
Tell me – if you do not trust me with thalaron weapons, do you want Hakeev to have them?

Romulan Republic (Starfleet-aligned)
My contacts tell me that Starfleet has rejected my request for military assistance. That is regrettable, but not unexpected. The Tal Shiar are formidable opponents, as are the forces directing their action. I understand why the Federation would hesitate to engage them directly.
So today I appeal to you, not as an ally in battle, but as a fellow survivor of the persecution of the Tal Shiar. My people need your help. I need your help.
One of our ships was carrying a load of thalaron weapons through the Nopada system. That ship has disappeared.
There are no indications that there was a battle. It is as if my ship and its cargo simply... vanished.
If you are reluctant to become involved, consider this: What will happen if these weapons fall into Hakeev's hands?
I can provide you with the last coordinates of the vessel. Please ... help me. Do what you will with the weapons if they survive, but find my people!
