History 101: Alpha Quadrant from 2380
In this short mission, captains acquire a datachip containing information about the history contained in the Path to 2409, the events leading up to the beginning of Star Trek Online. The equivalent Klingon quest is “The Lore of the Empire”.
Synopsis[]
When this mission is active, a historical datachip can be acquired inside the building where Commander Viala is standing behind the counter. The Library Computer is located at the same counter as Commander Viala, to the left. It may be necessary to jump on the counter to have the prompt to interact appear.
The information supplied by the datachips provides the answers to the some questions posed in “History 102: Alpha Quadrant Midterm” and that mission's Klingon equivalent, “Learning the Lore of the Empire”.

As part of the Starfleet Continuing Studies Program, officers can retrieve historical datachips from terminals at Starfleet Academy.
The current subject is recent historical event. Study these datachips to prepare for the exam!

- Originally the one-hour calendar event The Path to 2409 occured twice each day, awarding two datachips instead of one. The event was removed on January 30, 2014 with most of the hour-long calendar events.
