Khitomer Crisis
In Khitomer Crisis the player assists the U.S.S. Khitomer in fighting back a Borg boarding party and helps the crew to regain control over the ship.
Synopsis[]
The player beams over to the U.S.S. Khitomer. The ship is under heavy attack by the Borg Collective. The deck shakes from weapons fire and everywhere Starfleet and Borg forces are fighting to gain the upper hand. In the Auxiliary Medical Bay, the ship's Emergency Medical Hologram (EMH) asks for some assistance in diagnosing and treating wounded.
After having helped the EMH, the player is ordered to help Lt. Thelis in Auxiliary Control. Only separated by a force field from a number of drones, the player tries to restore the computers. Noticing that the Borg are not behaving as they should the player guesses that their programming was not complete. The player then uses the ships transporters to beam the Borg from auxiliary control to a decompressed area of the ship, blowing them out into space.
The Khitomer's ranking officer, Commander Davis, orders the player to check an area of the ship the Borg are assimilating. To regain use of internal sensors and communication, the devices there built by the Borg must be destroyed. With sensors restored, Davis detects that the Borg are going after the Khitomer's warp core to destroy the ship. He orders the player to rendezvous with him in Main Engineering.
The Khitomer's crew has created barricades around Main Engineering, but the Borg keep transporting drones to overpower the fortified position. After the player has helped the defending crew, Davis reveals that the player's ship has been boarded as well. He orders the player to use the Transporter Room to return to the ship.
In the hallway leading to the Transporter, two senior officers are examining a dead Drone that looks different from any other Borg encountered so far. It is obviously a more advanced model. In the Transporter Room, the player may choose one out of three Khitomer officers to come back to the ship as a bridge officer.
