Reinforcements is a non-repeatable mission available during the Junior Officer Weekend. It awards players with a unique Duty officer upon completion, an Exocomp for Federation-aligned captains and Kazan for Klingon-aligned captains.

Federation-aligned[]

The reports I'm receiving about the <shipname> are exceptional, <rank>, and I believe that Starfleet's finest ship commanders should have the Federation's best duty officers to support them.

I've authorized Captain Jarol to give you a special recruit. I am confident it will serve you well.

Klingon-aligned[]

The Klingon Empire has heard reports on the exceptional service record of the <shipname> and has expressed an interest in assigning one of their best duty officers to support you, <rank>.

Captain Laroj, at Klingon Academy, is waiting to give you a special recruit. I am confident he will serve you well.

Goal[]

Federation-aligned[]

Report to Captain Jarol at Starfleet Academy to receive a rare Exocomp duty officer. This special officer cannot be traded and if dismissed or removed from your roster cannot be resummoned.

Klingon-aligned[]

Report to Captain Laroj at Klingon Academy to receive a rare Reman duty officer. This special Duty Officer cannot be traded and if dismissed or removed from your roster cannot be resummoned.

Walkthrough[]

To pick up this mission, the player may accept it from one of two places: the "Available" tab of the Mission Journal or at Klingon or Starfleet Academy by talking to the faction-specific Duty Officer contact: Lieutenant Ferra for Federation-aligned captains, Lieutenant S'stas for Klingon-aligned captains. The minimap might point in the direction of the Junior Officer Weekend event giver instead of Captain Jarol or Laroj, be careful not to be misled.
The reward for this mission is faction-specific. Federation-aligned players receive [Exocomp (duty officer)], while Klingon-aligned players receive [Kazan].

Notes[]

Some time prior to 2014, a bugged Romulan Republic version of this mission was made available to players. Players were to claim an unique Liberated Borg Romulan duty officer by the name of "T'ress" from a "Commander Rojal", however were unable to as the aforementioned NPC, Rojal, did not exist on New Romulus Command. For subsequent runs of the Junior Officer Weekend event, this mission was removed and Romulans could claim their respective faction's Duty Officer instead.
From 2021 onward, during the Junior Officer Event, the unresolvable bugged version of this mission was again offered to Romulan players by Centurion Velaar, in addition to the normal factional version.
