Synopsis[]
The Alliance has decided that its defensive tactics against the Tzenkethi have gone on for far too long and it is now time to bring the fight to them. Find the Tzenkethi Fleet and end their protomatter crusade once and for all.
Outline[]
Mission Text[]
Federation[]
Starfleet intelligence believes a Tzenkethi attack on an Alliance world could happen very soon, and with their new Protomatter Torpedoes, billions of lives could be lost in moments once such an attack begins.
We've spotted several Tzenkethi fleet groups on the move in the Alpha Quadrant. I'm assigning you to patrol the area near one of those groups. If they launch a protomatter attack, I want you in position to put a stop to it.
Klingon[]
Imperial intelligence believes a Tzenkethi attack on an Alliance world could happen very soon. Their new Protomatter Torpedoes can end billions of lives in moments once such a cowardly attack begins. Unacceptable.

Mission Replay[]
Notes[]
- Scylla and Charybdis was released on January 23, 2018 as part of the 8 Year Anniversary Event. A special event was held until February 22. During this time, the mission had a minimum rank of 10 and rewarded a new special [Featured Episode Weekly Reward] once per account, per week for an effective event total of four. The Reward Box contains a choice of either one [Enhanced Universal Tech Upgrade], or one Specialization Point (claimable by all, but only usable on Level 50+ characters).
- Scylla and Charybdis is an idiom referring to a Greek myth. It is roughly comparable to choosing between two evils, or "being between a rock and a hard place".
- Even though Geordi says that all available ships are being dispatched to defend Bajor, the U.S.S. Defiant is nowhere to be seen, though Captain Kurland makes a cameo appearance after DS9 is heavily damaged.
- Warning: during the planetary defense portion, if the player approaches the fleet too quickly, it's possible for the remaining Tzenkethi ships to not fire Protomatter torpedoes. If such happens, the mission will need to be aborted and re-entered.
