This is a priority one alert. All available ships are needed!

Undine infiltrators have seized control of Deep Space 9. The exterior of the station is being threatened by a Cardassian and Jem'Hadar fleet, but Starfleet believes these ships to be controlled by the Undine as well.

Your orders are to find a way onto the station and assist station personnel to retake the station. Starfleet cannot afford to lose Deep Space 9!

Infiltrate Deep Space 9, located in the Bajor Sector of the Beta Ursae Sector Block, and stop an Undine takeover.

After completing “War Games” the mission can be aquired directly, as soon as the player approaches Deep Space 9.
Shutdown is one of, at least, two missions in the game that offers Federation Characters the ability to earn the Federation Foil, Wanted by Section 31 and Scourge of Starfleet Accolades. The Federation Officers during Deception (14 kills), Innocent Victims (13 kills), and Wrath of T'Vala (5 kills) all count towards the accolades, in total awarding 32 kills. It has never been confirmed if this is a bug or intentional. The other mission is “War Games”.
