In Tangled Webs, the player is sent to investigate Tholian fleet movements.
Synopsis[ | ]
The player is notified by Garrett about the mobilization of Tholian forces across the border, and is immediately informed by Daniels that the timeline had been tempered with, but he also adds that he was successful in pinpointing the divergence point to the Defiant's encounter with the Tholians in 2268. Once the ship has reached the Unsurveyed Territory, Daniels transports it to 2268, during a battle between the Tholians, the Defiant and the Na'kuhl. The Federation ships then have to defeat the Na'kuhl forces before they could completely destroy the Tholian Convoy, and then the player has to beam over to the Tholian Flagship in order to rescue the Queen from the Na'kuhl boarding parties, and convince her that the Federation wasn't involved in the ambush. After this, the player and the Defiant have to Defend the Queen's ship from another fleet so she could alert her Sisters. After she succeeded, she rammed her ship against the only remaining Na'kuhl cruiser, creating a shockwave that caught the Defiant (which had been severely crippled during the fight), leaving it in a state of flux between universes.

Things are heating up with the Tholians, <<name>>. Monitor stations are detecting large fleet movements toward Federation space, and they're refusing all of our diplomatic hails.
We're doing all we can to prevent a war, but it's not looking good. I want you to join a task force I'm assembling.
If this goes south, I want my best people on the front line when it does.
