Xarantine System[]
Gorn Awry[]
Patrol the Xarantine System[]
Travel to the Xarantine System in the Pi Canis sector block.
Rescue the S.S. Boyce[]
Upon entering the system you will receive a distress call from the S.S. Boyce.
S.S. Boyce:
We are taking fire from Gorn fighters and need aid from any ships in range. Repeat: We are being attacked by Gorn and need help!
Defeat the Gorn ships which are attacking the Boyce. Once they are defeated you will be able to hail the Boyce and learn what additional assistance you can lend them.
Hail the S.S. Boyce[]
S.S. Boyce:
We diverted from our deliveries to deploy these emergency power emitters, but now we need your help to activate them.
Our starboard power coupling is blown, and we're reading damage to our navigation systems and warp core.
If you can reroute the satellites' energy output to us, we can use them to keep our shields up while we make repairs.
Activate Power Satellites (4)[]
There are four power satellites to activate; if you're having trouble finding one of them, it's probably the one in the "donut hole" of the asteroid.
Several more Gorn ships warp in as soon as you are given this objective, and you will have to fight them off to protect the Boyce and activate the satellites.
After all four satellites are activated, you will be hailed by the Boyce.
Science Officer:
S.S. Boyce:
Thanks for the helping hand! It's always nice to see Starfleet protecting the trade routes!
Science Officer:
A Vulcan medical vessel, the T'Pau, is requesting assistance. We are the closest ship.
I've laid in a course to the T'Pau's coordinates, sir. We can leave on your command.
Warp to the T'Pau[]
Simply select the option to warp to the T'Pau and you will be taken there immediately.
Hail the T'Pau[]
You hail the T'Pau immediately upon entering the system.
Science Officer:
Channel open.
Captain Saalar:
There is an outbreak of Takanian syndrome on the planet's surface. It is of utmost importance that the medical supplies we carry be delivered immediately. Please accompany us to the planet and defend us from enemy ships.
Escort the T'Pau[]
As you escort the T'Pau through the waypoints to planetary orbit, you will encounter three ambushes. The first two are of Gorn vessels. The last one, at the final navigational beacon, is Klingon.
Once these foes are defeated and the T'Pau has successfully reached the final navigational beacon, they will hail you with a new problem.
Science Officer:
Captain Saalar:
My ship is on a mission of peace. We are unequipped to deal with armed resistance. Will you secure the area so our healers can transport to the planet's surface safely?
Mission of Mercy[]
Beam Down to Surface[]
Select the option to beam down to the surface of the planet.
Xarantine Surface[]
Street Sweeper[]
Secure the Outpost[]
Tactical Officer:
We'll need to deal with them before the Vulcan medical team can transport.
There are multiple groups of Gorn and Klingons along the path to the outpost, as well as some in the hills to the East. All foes occupying the outpost propper must be defeated to complete this objective.
Incoming Message[]
As soon as the outpost has been secured, Captain Saalar and his medical team will start beaming down.
Science Officer:
Captain Saalar may be able to answer a few questions for you, if you wish.
We can return to the <Shipname> as soon as you are ready.
Captain, we are receiving another alert from Starfleet Command.
Starfleet has lost contact with the U.S.S. Eagle. When we have completed our work here, we are to proceed to the Trimble system, find the Eagle and render any aid necessary.
At this point you will receive the Aiding Aid Givers accolade.
Before you leave the system, you have the option to speak with Captain Saalar for additional information on his mission.
Captain Saalar:
- What is Takanian syndrome?
Captain Saalar:
Victims of Takanian syndrome slowly stop producing red blood cells. If left untreated, the disease is always fatal.
- What is the treatment for Takanian syndrome?
Captain Saalar:
The treatment can be uncomfortable, but if given in time, the recovery rate is 100 percent.
- Who developed the treatment for Takanian syndrome?
Captain Saalar:
Xenopolycythemia and Takanian syndrome are similar in nature. The Vulcan Science Academy is attempting to determine if the two diseases are linked in some way.
- Do you know why the Klingons would have wanted to stop you?
Captain Saalar:
The medicines we have on board the T'Pau have a wide variety of uses. We even carry equipment for genetic engineering, but it is only used to correct existing conditions as permitted by Federation law.
Depart System[]
Depart the Xarantine System.
Trimble System[]
Clipped Wing[]
Go To Trimble Solar System[]
Travel to the Trimble System, which is located less than 3 light years away in the same sector as the Xarantine System.
Locate the U.S.S. Eagle[]
Upon warping into the system, your Science Officer has some information for you.
Science Officer:
Proceed on into the system and you will find the U.S.S. Eagle under attack by Klingon vessels.
Defend the U.S.S. Eagle[]
Destroy the Klingons before they can destroy the Eagle.
Incoming Message[]
As soon as the Klingons are destroyed, you will be hailed by Captain Ayers from the Eagle.
Science Officer:
Putting it onscreen now:
Captain Ayers:
Our shields are down and we have been boarded by Klingons. Repeat: We have been boarded! My crew is fighting them in the corridors, but we won't last long!
Tactical Officer:
Board the U.S.S. Eagle[]
Beam aboard the Eagle to help them repell boarders.
Aboard the U.S.S. Eagle[]
Eagle's Nest[]
Get to the Shuttlebay[]
As soon as you beam in, your Tactical Officer will give you a report on the situation.
Tactical Officer:
Several members of the Eagle's bridge crew have retreated to Shuttlebay One. I recommend we secure the area between here and the shuttlebay.
There are numerous groups of Klingons between you and the shuttlebay. Some of them are working at the consoles, either trying to take over the ship or otherwise raiding the library computer for information.
Defeat the Klingon Captain[]
The captain of the Klingon attackers can be found in the shuttlebay. As soon as he notices you, he will attack.
Captain Tor'Ka:
Once Captain Tor'Ka has been defeated, Captain Ayers and his surviving crew will emerge. You can now talk to Captain Ayers.
Speak with Captain Ayers[]
Captain Ayers:
- What happened here, Captain?
Captain Ayers:
We dropped out of warp to respond to a distress signal. It was a trap.
There were Klingon ships waiting for us. They knocked out our weapons and shields, and then they started beaming boarding parties over.
I lost my chief of security and first officer in the fighting, <Rank>. Some of the finest officers I have ever had the privilege of serving with were cut down in a senseless ambush.- What did the Klingons want?
Captain Ayers:
My orders were to get these materials to the Korvat system safely. No matter what, I had to keep them out of Klingon hands.
- Where were you when we entered the shuttlebay?
Captain Ayers:
We sealed ourselves in the shuttle with the genetic resequencers. If you hadn't arrived when you did, we were going to blast out and take the cargo someplace safe.
I ... I know it is a captain's duty to go down with the ship.
But what was more important -- dying with honor or keeping a devastating weapon out of the hands of the Klingons?- Do you need additional assistance?
Captain Ayers:
At this point you will receive the Mended Wing accolade.
Depart System[]
All that remains is to depart the system.
Tactical Officer:
Sector Space[]
Hail Starfleet to Report[]
Hail Admiral Quinn to turn in the completed mission and claim your reward.
Admiral Quinn:
