Synopsis[edit | edit source]

Outline[edit | edit source]

Mission text[edit | edit source]

<Rank>, we're picking up some odd subspace transmissions in the area of NGC-2447.

We haven't been able to identify the source of the transmissions, but the strength of them leads me to believe there may be a base of some sort out there. I need an experienced officer like yourself to investigate.

Be careful, <rank>. We lost the U.S.S. Intrepid three parsecs from that area last month. If there is something out there, it's not friendly.

Goal[edit | edit source]

This Special Task Force is designed for five players. It is recommended that you assemble a team before attempting this mission.

Notes[edit | edit source]

  • When you find out the U.S.S. Poseidon is an impostor, you must lower its hull to 25% before it warps out for reinforcements. Be advised that it is somewhat difficult because repairs fairly fast, so players without a high dps will find defeating it time-consuming.
  • Unless a very strong ship is there to provide heals, most people will die from the reinforcement undines heavy torps, it is recommended to have a reverse shield polarity and brace for impact at the ready when the reinforcements come into the fray!
  • It is very hard, but not impossible, to solo the space portion but be ready to use alot of heals and have a very durable ship (an Odyssey, either from the C-Store or the original, is most preferable but other cruisers like the Fleet Exploration Cruiser will do just fine). It is not possible to solo the ground portion because one person cannot protect all five engineers.
  • The genuine Starfleet officers will flip coins and the NPCs are random. It may take several minutes before they do it again, so best to spread your team out and cover as many of them as possible.
  • If an engineer dies while hacking a console, the mission fails and the team must beam out to restart Déjà Vu.
  • Consoles are hacked in the following order: 2 (bottom left), 1 (top left), 3 (bottom right), 4 (right), 5 (top middle). You only need to protect the west docking ring, as that is where all the Undine spawn.
  • On the first level of Trial of Janus, there are 12 power nodes and 8 incubators. The second level has enough power nodes and incubators to complete the objectives, although there are more on the third and fourth levels.
  • The third level does not have a respawn point and it is advised you run straight to the hallway to avoid the mobs.
  • Killing of the nodes will weaken them, killing the incubators will stop the reinforcement of guards. (Its room based)
  • There are two respawn points on the fourth level: the entrance and outside the boss room. You can run past the mobs to reach this second spawn point.
  • The boss room works similarly to that in “Infected” in that respawning places you outside of the room until your whole team enters. Your progress defeating the fake Sulus and destroying the incubators and power nodes is maintained, however.
