The Mogai-class Heavy Warbird Retrofit is a Tier 5 (Level 50) Warbird which may be flown by Romulan Republic characters, as well as characters of any other faction. All faction restrictions of this starship can be removed by having a level 65 KDF character or by purchasing the Cross Faction Flying unlock from the Zen Store.
This ship can also be obtained by Romulan Republic players for free upon reaching level 61 by using their free Starship Requisition token. Lifetime Subscribers will receive one of these tokens at level 50 as well. Note that obtaining this starship via the rank-up Starship Requisition token will not unlock it for your entire account, nor will it apply the fleet discount.
The Mogai-class Heavy Warbird is a powerful vessel first utilized by the Romulan Star Empire towards the end of the 24th Century. In 2379, two vessels of this type assisted the U.S.S. Enterprise-E in the battle against the I.R.W. Scimitar in the Bassen Rift.
The Mogai class has an average turn rate and impulse speed, but carries more weapons than the Dhelan-class Warbird and has significantly increased hull strength.
The Mogai-class Retrofit is a further improved Heavy Warbird variant intended for Republic's Vice Admirals.
SKIN UNLOCK: Free
Made famous by its appearance in Star Trek: Nemesis, the Mogai class strongly resembles a falcon or other Bird-of-Prey. It boasts a massive wingspan with feather patterns along their length, extremely pointed warp nacelles and a "beak"-like command section.
SKIN UNLOCK: Valdore Heavy Warbird, 75,000
A refit of the Mogai class, the Valdore class has a noticeably more curved and armored appearance, with a less broad wingspan, a different feather pattern on the wings and more prominent Warp nacelles.
SKIN UNLOCK: Morrigu Heavy Warbird, 3,000
The Morrigu class was developed by the Romulan Republic in 2410. Similar to the Valdore, The Morrigu has a less broad wingspan than the Mogai, but features a thinner neck. Deployed in the middle of the Iconian War, its head and wing section are also more heavily armored.

The Mogai Heavy Warbird Retrofit comes equipped with the [Console - Universal - Ionized Particle Beam].
This ability is part of the Enhanced Weapon Systems Efficiency Set, which also includes [Console - Universal - Shield Absorptive Frequency Generator] and [Console - Universal - Ablative Hazard Shielding] obtainable with Valdore Heavy Warbird (T3) and Morrigu Heavy Warbird (T6), but also equippable on the Mogai Heavy Warbird Retrofit. For each console added after the first, an additional passive bonus is unlocked.
The Mogai-class Heavy Warbird Retrofit has a battle cloak that allows the ship to cloak during combat, granting stealth and a damage bonus upon decloaking.
The Mogai-class Heavy Warbird Retrofit comes with an Experimental Weapon slot. This additional slot does not fit standard weapons. Unlike standard starship weapons, Experimental weapons are not affected by weapon firing modes, such as those granted by bridge officer abilities.
As a Romulan Warbird, the Mogai-class Heavy Warbird Retrofit comes with built-in Singularity abilities. These abilities do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Warbirds. These powers build in severity based on the charge built up by the ship's Singularity Core.
Romulan starships come with standard equipment and weapons of the lowest mark available at the ship's minimum rank. The items provided are appropriate to the type of vessel and its related playing style.
By using an [Experimental Ship Upgrade Token], the Mogai-class Heavy Warbird Retrofit may be upgraded to T5-X, unlocking an extra ship device slot, universal console slot, and the ability to slot an extra starship trait.
Note that upgrading the Fleet Mogai Heavy Warbird Retrofit, the fleet version of the Mogai Heavy Warbird Retrofit, will not apply the upgrade to this starship.
