Nelan as he appears in the year 2409 of an alternate timeline
- “Temporal Ambassador”: In the year 2409 of an alternate timeline, Nelan is a laborer working for the Tholian Assembly. Nelan is somehow aware that the timeline he inhabits is flawed, and encourages the player to try to right it.

- "Temporal Ambassador" marked Nelan's only appearance until the revamp of Club 47 on Earth Spacedock in November 2014, when he replaced Niwan as bartender. No backstory has yet been established for him in the "correct" timeline.
- Nelan is an El-Aurian. [1] (broken)
- Nelan's conversation with the player in "Temporal Ambassador", specifically his ability to sense the corruption of the timeline, is similar to that of Guinan in Star Trek: The Next Generation. The outfit he wears at Club 47 is identical to that Guinan often wore as well.
- Nelan walks from location to location along the bar, which often causes the buy/sell dialog to close unexpectedly. You can reduce this by climbing onto the island countertop in the center.
