The Odyssey Science Cruiser is an Admiral (Tier 5) level Federation Cruiser, specifically a variant of the Odyssey Star Cruiser. It has been touted as the pinnacle of Federation starship design and will carry the Federation into a new generation of exploration. The newly commissioned U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC-1701-F) is an example of this class and stands as the flagship of the Federation.
Players must purchase this ship through the Cryptic Store at a cost of 2,500 , or a 3-pack of Odyssey variants for 5,000 .
Variants
Odyssey class
The Odyssey class is the largest vessel ever created by Starfleet. Its massive size makes it very resilient, but its turn rate is reduced by the bulk of the vessel. The Odyssey's unique split saucer pylon reduces subspace wake at higher warp speeds. The Odyssey is designed as an extreme long-range vessel, and can operate for long periods of time away from support. Because of this, it is the most versatile cruiser ever developed by the Starfleet Corps of Engineers.
Performance
With a better Boff setup than the Fleet Star Cruiser and more Science Consoles than the Fleet Support Cruiser Retrofit, the Odyssey Science Cruiser is one of the best choices available to players wanting a Science-heavy Cruiser. While it lacks a Commander Science, the ship boasts a Universal Lt.Commander which can easily be turned to Science, allowing it to take abilities like Science Team, Transfer Shield Strength or Hazard Emitters at high levels. In addition to its natural Cruiser tanking abilities, the ship can be extremely tough to kill. Its limited Tactical abilities and poor Turn Rate mean players should exercise caution in how they select their armament though.

The Advanced Quantum Slipstream Drive ability allows the Odyssey class starship to travel at increased warp speed for 60 seconds instead of the normal 30 seconds in sector space.
The Work Bees ability creates 4 Work Bee CMUs (Cargo Management Units) that repair the player's or ally's ship and take away certain debuffs while the target is less than 75% HP.
