Omni-Directional Beam Array has a 360-degree firing arc, in addition to being able to utilize the standard functions of Beam Array weapons. Only one crafted Omni-Directional Beam may be equipped at a time. Plasma is cyan in color. These weapons have a 2.5% chance to apply a plasma fire DoT directly to target's Hull. Note: both plasma weapon damage and proc DoT are increased with plasma damage consoles.

Obtained[]

Omni-Directional Plasma Beam Array is obtained through the R&D crafting system. Character needs to reach level 15 in the Beams School and have a Duty officer specialist in R&D: Beam Weapons. All Omni-Directional beams are crafted at Mk XII, with a chance to receive either Very Rare or Ultra Rare quality, depending on the player's beams crafting skill. It is account bind on equip, and therefore can be sold on the exchange or traded in-game.

Modifiers[]

Very Rare Omni-Directional Plasma Beam Array will have three modifier suffixes and Ultra Rare will have four. Epic adds a fifth unique modifier. By default it comes with an [Arc] mod which can't be re-engineered, and [Acc] [Dmg] mods which can be re-engineered.

Upgrading it to Ultra Rare will add a standard mod from the list:

  • [Acc]: +10 Accuracy Rating
  • [CrtD]: +20% Critical Severity
  • [CrtH]: +2% Critical Chance
  • [Dmg]: +X Damage
    • Re-engineering options: [Acc], [CrtD], [CrtH], [Dmg].
    • Special mods Pen, Over, Rapid, Snare and Thrust were removed from the UR pool, but may still be available as a suffix on weapons crafted before the removal.

All energy weapons upgraded to Epic quality receive:

  • [Ac/Dm]: +10 Accuracy Rating and +X Damage
