This starship can be used from any level upon completion of the tutorial experience. As you level up, this ship gains additional hull, weapon slots, and console slots.

The Palatine-Class is a highly advanced Tactical centric Science Vessel that was built upon the Aventine's success at combating the Borg and a multitude of other hostile forces. Owning this vessel unlocks the Palatine-class skin for other Multi-Mission Explorers.
|Named after the Vesta class vessel U.S.S. Aventine, the Aventine-class has a sharper saucer and its pylons are angled forward - these features give the ship a more sleek profile than the original Vesta.

|The Rademaker-class is a loose hybrid between the Vesta and Aventine classes, sporting a more oval saucer and the largest nacelles. The shuttle bay launch area is wider and illuminated and appears to be covered by a force field.

|V||Heavy Tachyon Mine||While this trait is slotted, activating Beam: Overload, Beam: Fire at Will, Cannon: Rapid Fire, Cannon: Scatter Volley or any Subsystem Targeting ability will cause your starship to deploy a Heavy Tachyon Mine behind your ship. This large mine is easier for your enemies to see than smaller mines, but it has a larger tracking distance and a larger area of effect. Upon impact, this mine will cause high kinetic damage(with 100% shield penetration) in a 3km area and will leave behind a Tachyon Particle Hazard that will heavily damage shields to any foe that remains within it. Unlike normal mine explosions, the Heavy Tachyon Mine's explosion will not harm the starship that deploys it. Additionally, if the Mine is destroyed by an enemy, it will still explode causing damage as normal.|
The Palatine Multi-Mission Reconnaissance Explorer comes equipped with the Radiation Bombardment Matrix universal console, which is part of the Alliance Multi-Mission Systems Set. Other consoles from this set can be equipped for set bonuses and additional abilities.
It can also equip consoles from the Experimental Systems Set that come with the tier 5 Multi-Mission Explorers.

Sensor Analysis is an active toggle ability. While maintaining a Sensor Lock on a target, the player gains a stacking effect that either improves the damage and power drain against an enemy, or improves any heal directed towards an ally. This effect stacks every 3 seconds, to a maximum of 6 stacks after 18 continuous seconds. To maintain the desired effect, the player must hold the sensor lock.
The Palatine-class Multi-Mission Reconnaissance Explorer comes with built-in Subsystem Targeting abilities. These built-in abilities stay at Rank I and do not automatically rank up when acquiring higher tier Science starships. They are separate from Subsystem Targeting abilities gained through Tactical Space Bridge officer abilities.

Activating a subsystem targeting ability will upgrade all energy weapons to inflict a stacking power drain on the foe's targeted subsystem for the next 10 seconds. They will also have a small chance to knock the targeted subsystem offline for a short duration.
