The Pioneer-class Utility Cruiser is a Tier 1 (Level 1) Cruiser which may be flown by Starfleet characters. All faction restrictions of this starship can be removed by having a level 65 KDF character or by purchasing the Cross Faction Flying unlock from the Zen Store.

Players can obtain this starship by completing the Federation faction tutorial. Federation-aligned players may purchase it from any Ship and Shuttle Requisitions officer for 1,000 .

Pioneer class	SKIN UNLOCK: Free with this starship Designed for utility, the Pioneer Class often undertakes missions normally assigned to larger vessels, such as the Constitution Class. The frigate's size and crew complement limits the duration of such missions, however.
