- For the abilities granted by starships, see Cruiser Commands (Cruisers), Subsystem Targeting/Sensor Analysis (Science Vessels), Active Sensor Arrays (Intel ships). For kit abilities, as well as those possessed by Bridge Officers, see Bridge officer and kit abilities.
Player specific abilities (sometimes referred to in game as powers) are clickable abilities innate to your character. Most are unlocked as you level up, while a few others are granted by specific traits, or by gaining diplomacy/marauding XP.
General player abilities
Listed levels indicate the availability of an ability's primary rank; secondary and tertiary ranks of the ability are gained as the player ranks up, which is explained above.
Activatable ground traits
Certain ground traits give players access to abilities, which have the same name as the trait that grants it. Like other traits, these are either required or optional for specific species:

Other abilities, such as Cryonic Visor Beam, Mental Burst, Pacification, and Project Image are only available to bridge officers, not players.
