STOWiki:Subpages

This page is considered a guideline on STOWiki. It illustrates standards of conduct, which many editors agree with in principle. However, it is not policy. As a rule, pages do not usually have subpages. However if an article covers a lot of items (e.g. a list), it should be split into subpages. Also the wiki is not able to handle more than 100 parse operations (e.g. from templates) per page. An example would be the Accolade article due to the sheer amount of individual accolades obtainable.

An example of a subpage would be a mission page and its corresponding walkthrough subpage; the mission would be located at Mission: Name of Mission, with the walkthrough at Mission: Name of Mission/Walkthrough. As such, mission pages should always include a {{walkthru}} template call, as specified in the Mission page formatting guidelines.
