We are currently fully open[]

At this time due to some unknown error or miscommunication, all namespaces are currently open to anonymous editing. We have already contacted Curse to ask them to resolve the issue, and we will update you when we have more information. We apologize for the mistake and assure you this was not intentional. We are now only half-open[]

All issues have been resolved. Anonymous editing is only enabled for unprotected pages in the main and talk namespaces, as requested. We have our abuse filters in place (as anyone watching recent changes has probably already noticed), and we have an extension in place that allows wiki admins to shut down anonymous editing with the click of a button. Trial was a success[]

I think its fair to say that the trial has been sucessful. Eyes was right about the volume of edits we've been getting, and because of the filters we put in to prepare for this, theres virtually no spam any more. The most noticable change to me though has been what I perceive to be a rise in the number of active contributors. Maybe I'm wrong, or maybe its due to other factors, but I cant help but think that having the chance to test the water anonymously has encouraged people to register and contribute more.

Going forward, I think being fully open is the best approach. That way, foundry editors will be more likely to add missions. --Zutty 16:34, 15 December 2011 (UTC)
